- The history of the pear is unknown. It may be an old cultivar of Western Europe, now obsolete.
- It was started to propagate in the 1950s on the Island of Saaremaa, Estonia
- Autumn season cultivar: consumption period lasts for some weeks in September.
- Fruit is medium to large, ovate pyriform. The ground colour is greenish yellow, the overcolour is brownish red.
- The flesh is yellowish white, firm, sweet and sour, with few grit cells. Resistance to pear scab is good.
- Tree is vigorous, the young tree is upright, afterward spreading. Winter hardiness is intermediate.
