At a young age, cut loose, then the plant nicely thickening. After 10 years it reaches up to 1.5 m tall and 1.7 m wide.
Autumn leaves beautifully discolorating in yellow.
Flowers uniform, yellow, with a darker spot on the upper petal, floral petals characteristically bent backwards, large (diameter 6-8 cm). Gathered after a few pieces of flowers in glamorous infloritates. Flowering abundant, late May and early June.
Totally cold hardy.
