Slow growing bush with compact habit, after 10 years reaches the height of 0.9-1.2 m.
Boasts elliptic hairy foliage turning various stunning shades of yellow, orange and red in autumn.
Blooms in early spring – displays single funnel like dark orange buds which open to broadly-flared flowers, yellow in throats and darker on their margins, almost red-orange; on the reverse their petals turn reddish; they are fragrant and appear before leaves, already on young plants.
Disease-resistant.
Cold hardy – USDA zone 6b.
